  Hunting and Shooting at Bradgate

During the late 18th early 19th centuries the Tower was used as a lookout and picnic place for the Earl of Stamford and his guests.
The 7th Earl had a great interest in the Quorn Hunt which frequently met at the Park, the Tower being used as a vantage point.
Many great shooting parties were held here, Lord Stamford being a great shot. The ladies would follow his success from the comfort of the Tower.
